YAYASAN CHESHIRE INDONESIA
Hello! I am in the mood for storytelling, so let me take you on a delightful journey through my recent Friday adventure, filled with love and hope.
It all began when I revisited a place that, in my eyes, radiates warmth and positivity. I had made a promise to return there during my first visit in 2022, an initial encounter driven by work-related matters. I vividly remember being fascinated by the people there, each possessing unique skills like wood carving, sewing, and many more.
During that first visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Kak Tisha, a skilled artisan in the realm of sewing. Kak Tisha could transform fabric into charming wallets, aprons for cooking, goodie bags, and even cute bracelets and necklaces. I was captivated by her craftsmanship.
I had promised to return, motivated by the adorable pouch Kak Tisha had crafted just for me.
Finally, after a year and a half, I reunited with these wonderful individuals. Meeting Kak Tisha again brought immense joy, especially when she handed me four beautiful pouches. She said, 'I created this pattern because it reminded me of the phone case you had back then.' I was genuinely touched by her thoughtful remembrance.
Kak Tisha also gifted me with a set of exquisite bracelets and necklaces, both crafted with her artistic touch. It was a heartwarming moment. Lovely lovely lovely <3
I also got to know Lala during this visit. Lala pledged to teach me the art of public speaking if I returned. What a cute promise! She also shared her wisdom on how to stay spirited in life.
Then, there's a story that I vividly remember. Kak Tisha shared that when she feels overwhelmed, she loves to take her wheelchair for an evening stroll around the vicinity of the Foundation. She mentioned that by observing passing cars, trucks, and even traffic jams, she finds meaning – that no matter how long the congestion lasts, it will eventually pass. No matter how large the trucks or cars are, they will eventually move on.
It's a reflection of life, where no matter how big the problems, how sad the moments, or whatever the circumstances may be, they are temporary. They will pass. Just enjoy the journey.
I extend my gratitude to the YAYASAN CHESHIRE INDONESIA for their love, the engaging conversations, and the hearty laughs on that day. Thank you also for the warm hugs that filled my heart with warmth. <3
